Marvin Murray a.k.a. as DJ MARV is one of the hottest DJ/remixer/producer on the scene today. DJ MARV  originates from the Windy City otherwise known as Chi-Town. Taking inspiration from Legendary DJs i.e...the Late Ron Hardy, Farley "Jackmaster" Funk and Tony Humphries from clubs like the Musicbox, Playground & Zanzibar respectfully. DJ MARV has honed his craft after years of dedicated practice & 19 years commitment within the dance community!


DJ Marv’s diverse Chicago/New York style can be described as acoustically diverse, punchy, melodic & blended full of soulful intensity! The intense explosive creativity which he uses to captivate his audience is a stroke of ingenuity (see for yourself, check out his production techniques and you’ll hear what I mean!! no exaggeration). "4 Beats & A Blend Productions" (DJ Marv’s production company) borders Washington, D.C. metro area on the Virginia side. DJ MARV is looking forward to producing & remixing upcoming artists/projects very soon. Marv has earned the respect of several DC/Baltimore area Dj/Producer successfuls……Charles Dockins, 95 North, Basement Boys, Dj Mandrill, Deep Dish, Dj Oji, Dj Pope, Geoffrey C & Ultra Nate’ to name but a few!!

DJ MARV has held residencies in some of D.C.’s most popular clubs i.e...The Frat House, Lost & Found/The Edge, Tracks and Hill Haven to be brief. The Global Dance Industry have taken notice of DJ MARV’s skills and ability to succeed in this a musical jungle….so the BUZZ IS ON!! DJ MARV former Wednesday nite Resident DJ @ Pollen & Friday nite @ The Edge opened for TEDDY D of Basement Boys fame and was the main guest Dj @ PARADOX (3/7/98). Also a frequent featured guest on WEAA 88.9 FM Baltimore’s "Underground Experience" w/Dj Oji & Pope! (Last air date: Jan 23,1999).

DJ MARV’s contributions to the preservation of underground music shows in his attitude and loyalty to the dance community through his unselfish support and edification of other artists, djs, producers and labels. Marv is very optimistic in sharing his belief of the future of Dance Music, which he insists, "young adults must not be left out or overlooked in this movement, but, should be inspired to appreciate this form of music"!

DJ MARV also e-mails Top 30 charts and post reviews on given occasions. Currently, Marv is gathering resources for studio productions, hopefully by Summer end; also researching future website possibilities with streaming audio/video capabilities.
