This should correct people's assumptions of what Ronnie used in the booth!!!!

Booth's make-up:
1200's..of course
Technics reel to reel
Richard Long x-over,from the Warehouse
Pioneer Tade deck.
GLI mixer
Butcher knife courtesy of Gypsy!!!!

Now G, why you hatin'? The paint brush is for dusting (Tee always had one in his booth, even at home) the butcher knife is for splicing tape or wires. \

You're so jaded!

Thank you. No one responded.I was asking for an explanation because I had no clue. I was not implying that Ron used to fend off other wanna be DJ's trying to get into the booth and peep at the rare records or that maybe he was using the knife on Chicago producers like Chip E. who kept harrassing him. ;)

Wow, I remember Ron's dj booth! I sat there once(on the left side of the reel to reel player). The room also had a window (right above where the mixer is) that looked out at the dance floor.

Thanks for sharing the photo.

G-Man,
Make sure you archive these photos once this thread disappears. I was flooded with memories just by seeing them. I remember many a night sitting behind the record bins watching Ronnie work magic on the crowd and playing that big ass Pioneer tape deck. Thank you for making my day...
Peace,
GregG

P.S. Robert looks like he hasn't aged at all, just has more teeth ;)
