i just installed the newer version and it's not exactly the same as the previous. all the fx plugins now r in a seperate "audio" category and they r not bold... so i can't use em. when i try to put an fx in the insert slut of a channle it doesn't give me the option to put the audio plugs + that f6 function i had in the previous is not here anymore...
any idea how to handle it?
thanx.

when you're using SX2 you have to add a special FX-track to your project in which you can put the send effects....now they will appear where you expect them to...... this gives you added flexiblity in signal routing......you can f.e. put an insert effect on an aux-effect etc...
of course this is all in the manual ;)

right click anywhere near the left side of a track. i.e. where the track name is and you should see add a track/add a folder..and etc.
Note: You should check your plug in information panel and see if all your plug ins say that their current vst vers is 2.0 or greater other wise they will freeze up and emit this huge feedback kinda noise. You'll have to then check mark the area where it says old host behaviour for every plug in that's not past that vers.
For example I had these old Blue line plug ins that did that and they fed back like crazy. Also if you have battery you have to do this or you'll get some weird stutter and you'll think it's your cpu or audio card but it's not.
hope this helps
