Since these tips and information are very valuable during our actual production process and/or should problems arise, we may want to access these topics and tips at will. So in order to make that easier for all of us...
Please post tips in the following format:
1) Posters should make sure they put each production tip in it's own seperate thread, with an easy to understand or very descriptive thread title when applicable.
So if you are involved in say a drum discussion, and you have a new tip, contribute this to the discussion thread, BUT please make sure to copy and paste this tip into a new and seperate thread as well. This way people can still follow the original discussion, but at the same time these tips are easy to find in thier own seperate/additional thread without digging into old posts whenever we need to find them.
2) After you have completed step 1, start the post by explaining in a simple sentance or two what the tip is, or write a detailed version explaining what you mean at first B4 breaking down how to do the trick. Tech talk can sometimes be confusing, so please break it down to simplest terms whenever possible.
3) Next, in easy NUMBERED steps, please walk us through the process.
4) Finally And thankfully, please explain the multiple/additional advantages of this particular trick or point us in a general direction, and we'll let our imagination do the rest!
I am very excited about this forum as it will be a great tool for sharing information!
So please try to contribute as much as possible, hopefully it will be equal to what you can take away from these forums. Lurkers think twice! True sharing will be best for everyone and in the end it will benefit the music most!!! And that's what matters!
