Lyot I dont know if you want the 12" or the album..The album should be easy to find.
i would prefer the 12" of course, but i had no clue that one was so difficult to find, so i might concentra my efforts on the album.. smile.gif

Timmy,
what year is this from? I might ran across a few Ashford and Simpson singles at the local store today and may possibly have run across it. . .

Stay Free was released as a 12" in Holland only back in 1979...I have seen copies in collections maybe twice in the last 6 years but never seen one for sale even on ebay.
The US pressing of the album's good - still sounds loud to my ears but I have never heard the 12" but the album you should find I see them every so often in London.

Are you speaking about the 12" with written "stay free" on the left and "found a cure" on the right of the cover.Wasn't it from belgium?I can't remember.I remember the cover was made in the UK .
I have it on a french label (pathe),with a beautiful cover and a better sound (imho) than the dutch (belgium?)pressing.it's promo only. The design has been booted by Danny krivit for one of this last edit series (panter color).I think one day I could get another copy,so if you're really interrested and you have some interrested stuf from the states or Japan ,let me know.

Yeah, I found that it IS def on other side of a particular warner bros release of 'Found a Cure'1979. Deadly to find, though, it seems.

Strange cause I've heard it and there was Stay free on it....
There's another 12 inch (wich I didn't hear) with written stay free.It's a 12" with a picture cover(with A & S on the frontside).It lookedlike a dutch or a german pressing.

21st Century Music in Jersey had that 12" of Stay Free. They also had a 12" of Tried, Tested, and Found True, another Ashford and Simpson gem. Neither were under $60 though.
