Guest: Chris Duckenfield (SWAG) + Etmo vs. Riskymusic (live)
Residents: Paul Thomas (Radio 1), Olivier Tison (Luminaweb)

Following his '89 DJ debut, Duckenfield became increasingly interested in production, eventually releasing his first record on the Warp sub-label Nucleus in '91. He currently works as Swag (with Richard Brown), so called because of their ruthless sampling techniques. The calls for remixes have come in thick and fast ever since. To date, the duo have tagged the Swag sound to releases from Bjork, Ian Pooley, Herbert and Blaze, to name but a few. When not jet-setting around the world as a DJ, Duckenfield somehow manages to run three labels, the Version Music label, designed specifically to release Swag material, his own successful and much-praised underground techno/house Primitive Imprint and Odori. On top og that he manages to release a string of releases mix comps (such as this one) for Montreal's extra-special Turbo Recordings. My gosh he's a busy lad.

In order to be creative in a proper electronic context, French saxophonist Etmo is currently collaborating with dj Riskymusic. Going through very different electronic atmospheres and acoustic plays, they define a hybrid musical context, from ambient moods to subtle beats. When playing live with Etmo, Riskymusic composes and remixes electronic tracks suggestive more than directive to interact with the Saxes and other acoustic sound effects played by Etmo.

One World Live is the odyssey through the melting pot of electronic music. A Nu Yorica for the 21st century if you like, spanning hip-hop, drum & bass, house, funk, jazz, latin & afro inspired mayhem. With a host of residents on rotation: Ross Allen (London Live), Paul Thomas (Radio 1), Olivier Tison (Luminaweb), Tankred Moss (Click).
