SONAR KOLLEKTIV / WARM – I:CUBE AND MOONSTARR
SATURDAY 25TH SEPTEMBER @ MEDICINE, GREAT EASTERN STREET, SHOREDITCH, LONDON
Berlin based Sonar Kollektiv and London’s Warm continue to fly in the International talent for the monthly party every last Saturday of every month. September 25th sees long standing Versatile producer I:Cube from Paris and the Canadian production genius – Moonstarr.
BASEMENT: I:CUBE (VERSATILE) + MOONSTARR (SONAR KOLLEKTIV)
I:Cube needs little introduction to those who have been buying records over the past decade. He was the first artist to appear on the now much respected Versatile imprint, then known as Chiax. That was 1996 and today I:Cube is still delivering productions that are one step ahead. So far he has managed to present three albums as well as collaborating with label head Gilb’r as Chateau Flight. I:Cube’s musical diversity and appeal has reached far out of the realms of dance music and won him fans from across the musical spectrum. His set in the basement will no doubt produce a few more.
The second guest in the basement is new Sonar Kollektiv signing Moonstarr. His steady rise to notoriety has been via many releases on Compost, including appearances on the prestigious Future Sound of Jazz albums. It all began with his own label Public Transit recordings, which first caught the attention of Sonar Kollektiv label heads Jazzanova and lead to a release on JCR. His latest offering ‘ Slacker/Detroit’ on Sonar Kollektiv is currently turning heads all over the globe. This is a rare appearance by one of the scene’s newest stars.

Warm residents Ali Tillett, Sean Brosnan, Rob Summerhayes and Hiryze keep the top floor bubbling with a selection that has caught the attention of many over the past few months. After guest slots at the Big Chill Festival, Phonic Hoop and Kev Beadle’s Sosho the boys return back to the Medicine for some leftfield business.
