Mantis Records Special! (Atjazz and Brooks)
Jigsawmusic 015
Sat 10th July @ Tarnished Halo Basement
On 10 July, Atjazz and Brooks will be taking on the Jigsawmusic basement in a Mantis records special. We are bringing two of the hottest producers in the UK together for a broken, deep, discoid set.
Atjazz has been ridiculously busy in the studio for the past year. He has just completed production duties on the debut Magic Number album 'That Day' and he's been giving the Atjazz twist to a whole host of songs, for a multitude of labels. Remixes to look out for include Nitin Sawhney's 'Falling' on V2, Slope's 'Trust The Universe' on Sonar Kollektiv and Office Gossip's 'Blue on Black' Winding Road Records. The next Atjazz album is expected later this year.
Atjazz's current remix projects include, Kimra 'Essential Things' on Mantis Recordings, Jazzanova 'Dance the Dance' on Sonar Kollektiv and a very special deep dance floor workout for Jimpster's fantastic Freerange Records label.
Brooks is currently working on the follow up to his incredible debut long player 'You, Me & Us', which was hailed as one of 2002's great electronic albums and has released 'Wandering' with remixes from himself and San
Francisco's The Soft Pink Truth. For a taster of things to come, there's also a brand new Brooks track ' Burning Buxx' and Brooks has also been busy testing some of his new ideas on other's people's music, with an ever-increasing list of remixes. Recent re-workings include Clyde feat. Capitol A 'Serve It Up' (Mantis), Willis 'Paper & Stone' (679 Recordings), Russ Gabriel's 'Patience' (Out Of The Loop) and The Soft Pink Truth's 'Soft Pink Missy' (Accidental) to name but a few.
