80s!! from the great club/warehouse party music of Sharon Redd, D-Train, Luther V, Cameo, SOS Band, Leroy Burgess, Slave etc... to the massive acid house (Chi/NY) explosion late 87,89. Doubt to ever see such a movement again :)

As a movement, house in the late 80's early 90's was pretty significant.
As a form of music though, I'd have to say that people have been producing good stuff over the past 30 years.

everytime i party i hope/anticipate the music drawing me into a vortex, but the last party where i simply lost my mind was last Thursday when DJ Hugo H took us on a musical odyssey...it was incredible---haven't sweated like that from dancing all year
the 80's FK warehouse (where it all began), the music box w/Ron Hardy & power plant was the best & consistent
90's warehouse was the bomb, too

I still have fun now,but early 80s' cannot be touched. We had Garage in NYC Catacombs in Philly and the Club house in D.C. and people would party from city to city.Plus the smaller bars like Smart Place in Philly the Mill in D.C and Better Days in NYC.People would come to the club with a change of clothes, because they danced so hard. And the music was all underground you did not hear on the radio until much later if at all.It all stopped after 86 87.Aids Hip hop and crack all hit about the same time and the world was never been the same.Lord Amtrack was 25.00 round trip to Philly-NYC or D.C and we though that was a lot of money
