I read 'Christianity Before Christ' quite a few years back and thought it was pretty good. If I recall correctly, it discussed the spiritual practices and beliefs as well as myths within societies that pre-dated the Christian era and how those practices mirroed those thought to be introduced during and after the physical life of Jesus Christ.

I can dig this book out if you would like more background information.

Try reading The Gospel Of Barnabas
http://barnabas.net/ You can also buy it from some book stores.
This is one of the books of the Original Bible before St Paul many years later had it and about 3000 more removed and basically re-wrote the bible we see today. He also introduced the idea of the Trinity and that Jesus was god or part of god although none of the original disciples nor Jesus followed that claim.
and then move on to
Izhar Ul-Haq (Truth Revealed)
http://www.islam4all.com/newpage71.htm this was a debate that took place over this issue.
Let me know what you think
